I've been thinking a lot lately about Breast Cancer, the causes, prevention & early detection.  In my case I was about in the middle with my detection. I for sure didn't have an early detection because I was a stage 3 when I was diagnosed. I assumed like most people do that we don't need to worry about getting a mammogram until age 40.  Or that insurance wont cover until your 40. Come to find out with my insurance company technically I could've had a mammogram once a year before age 40... BUT they don't tell anyone that.  My doctor also told me that it is a slow growing cancer and it's been growing for about 6-7 years. So...a mammogram years ago would have been so beneficial for early detection. The reason why I'm bringing this up now is because we all know someone OR are the someone who needs to go in for a mammogram.  Early detection is so important and I wish I had someone telling me to go get checked (even though I was young).
